Slippery Elm bark is tough, yet flexible, and has a fibrous texture. Frontier® Slippery Elm Inner Bark smells similar to Fenugreek but has a very mucilaginous taste. The soothing mucilage can be made as tea or used in ointments, poultices, throat lozenges and skin care products.

Slippery elm inner bark.

Suggested Use

To prepare as a tea, pour 8 oz. boiling water over 1 tsp. of herb. Cover and steep 3-5 minutes, strain and serve immediately. 

Warnings

Take with at least 250 ml (8 oz.) of liquid Other drugs should be taken 1 hour prior to or several hours after consumption.
